And and and I know hong baos out there are cheap but these aren't cos they are special k?;A; *shotplz* ouch printing costs... they should be around $2 each because of the printing costs but it may be cheaper if more of you decide to buy!

Intro~:

so I had this idea for khr being all chinese new year themed like 2 years ago when I was working in a packaging factory with and another friend. It was a rather boring job, to be honest=w=; so My thoughts started to run wild. I saw the fish, and I thought of tsuna... then mukuro when I saw the pineapple... (we were packaging new year products) so here's the meanings for people who didn't know about chinese cultureC:

Tsuna: He is holding something called a 联(lian), which is something like a scroll which writes good wishes, usually in a 4 letter idiom like format. Tsuna's wrote 年年有余 which means may every year have leftovers, indicating prosperity. The last word, 余, is pronounced the same as 鱼, which means fish in chinese. That's why there's always 鱼生 (yusheng) on the dining table during cny, for good luck;D And of course this is also the reason why tuna is holding it=w=*shot*

Dying Will Tsunas: Well what can I say? another thing in the chinese traditions, lion dance (which apparently i don't really like because of the loud drums and noises...) but I thought lion would suit them well, since he's the boss afterall~

Mukuro+Chrome: When I made this, they were originally on either side of the same pineapple, but i separated them (sorry 6996 fansTT^TT) pineapples symbolizes good luck. This originated from a hokkien dialect, in which pineapple is pronounced as "ong lai" which also sounds like "旺来"in hokkien. A rough translation would be asking good luck to come.

Hibari: Well, hibari's holding a hongbao right nowXD I kinda remembered how he extorted money in the early matsuri ep of khr and made him hold the hong bao with that intention in mindXD there was supposedly a corpse beside him but since it was not really advisable to do that on festive seasons, i left that part out>W>;; Btw, the word on hibari's hong bao is pronounced as FA which means to get rich in chineseXD

Haru: Sniffff as a haru fan I just had to make her;A; even though I don't think ppl will wanna buy her... I'll just make less if that's the case>A<;; pretty clear cut. haru's name itself means spring, and spring signifies a new year. Hence the word "春" (chun).

Yamamoto: ever heard of 大吉大利?well in many forms of dialects the mandarin oranges(橘) is pronounced the same as the word 吉, which means good luck and good chances(?) not that sure about the 2nd one>A>;; for this one I just replaced yamamoto's usual baseball with an orangeXD

Gokudera: firecrackers, obvious much?>8D too bad its banned in singapore now... The word on the top of the firecracker is an inverted 福,which means good fortune. It's inverted because the chinese word invert is pronounced the same as "come" so when the fu is inverted, it becomes 福到/福倒 which means good fortune comes. Yea you may realize the chinese have lots of wordplays and stuff, which may explain my own love for wordplay tooXD

And btw, sorry for lack of updates... school's kinda busy atm and I probably won't be on as much for the next week since my laptop had a motherboard error and had to be sent for repairs...*using brother's laptop now* thank god I backed this up in my thumbdrive>A>;;; but my interview assignment but bad thing is that means no cg for the next week(s?) and I have no idea how I can survive without my computer>A>;;; *shotagain*

I was going to make a better sample version but my brother's laptop has no photoshop... So I'll make do with my test print version...

And I'm not gonna beat about the bush this time cos it's heart wrenching for a money minded person like me to part with money... even when it's like an investment... SO BUY PPL BUY.
